Archangel Gabriel  governs the element of water, water is  associated with our emotional realm.
Gabriel is the Angel of Communication, New Beginnings and Strength. Call on him for love, strength, inspiration and clear vision.
 
There is a legend that say's while a baby is still in the womb, Gabriel whispers in its ear their souls mission while on earth. Then he touches above their lip which creates the two lines, this is called Gabriels touch.   When the baby is  born there is no memory of what he was told, but Gabriel will always  be with them to remind them of what he whispered in their ear, and their souls mission while on earth.
